About Doxie Gang

Doxie Gang exists for one reason: dachshunds deserve things that are actually made for them. Not "small dog" gear sized down and hoped for the best, but harnesses, beds, sweaters and everyday essentials designed around that long, low, gloriously stubborn body.

Built for the long ones

Dachshunds are not just small dogs. They're shaped completely differently, and that shape comes with real needs. Their long backs make them the breed most affected by intervertebral disc disease (IVDD). Their deep, narrow chests mean most harnesses gape or rub. Their bellies sit just above cold, wet ground. And their hunting-dog brains mean they want to burrow, dig, sniff and be right next to their people at all times.

So we design from the dog up. Every product starts with the same questions: will this keep pressure off the neck and spine? Will it fit a deep chest and a long body? Will it keep a doxie warm, comfortable and safe? If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't make it into the Gang.

What we care about

Their backs

Around one in four dachshunds will develop IVDD in their lifetime. We can't change genetics, but a lot of daily strain is avoidable, which is why our harness uses a padded chest plate and a low leash attachment, and why so much of what we write is about lifting, ramps, weight and safe walks.

The right fit

A harness that fits badly can do more harm than good. We publish a detailed size guide, and if you're still unsure, you can send us your dog's measurements and we'll help you choose.

Warmth and comfort

Dachshunds feel the cold and love to burrow. Our sweaters are cut long in the body, and our Paw Bed sits right on the floor with raised sides to tuck into, so there's no jumping and plenty of den.

Everyday life

The little things matter too: a leash that's the right length for a small dog, a poop bag carrier that clips on so you've always got a hand free. Small upgrades that make every walk easier.
