Doxie Gang Paw Bed
A Den Made for Doxies
Shaped like a giant paw and built for a dachshund to sink right into. The raised sides mimic the security of curling into a den, so your dachshund settles faster and stays settled, especially helpful for a breed that's prone to anxiety and loves feeling tucked in rather than exposed.
Available in two colours: Frosted Charcoal, a two-tone grey with warm brown pads for a neutral that fits any room, and Cotton Candy Pink, a soft pink-to-white ombre with cream pads for a lighter, gentler look.
Care and use
- Setting up: if your bed arrives compressed from shipping, unpack it, give it a good shake and let it fluff up for a day or so.
- Everyday: shake it out and vacuum or brush off loose hair every few days.
- Washing: use a gentle, cool cycle with mild detergent, then air dry completely and fluff the fur by hand or with a soft brush.
- Placement: put it somewhere your dachshund already likes to rest, away from draughts and radiators. Most doxies prefer to be in the same room as their people.
- Settling in: add a blanket or a T-shirt that smells of you, and scatter a few treats in it the first few times.
FAQ
Will it fit my dachshund?
At 80 cm across, it suits both miniature and standard dachshunds. Minis curl up with room to spare, and standards can stretch out.
Is it good for dachshunds with back problems?
Its floor-level design means no jumping, which is ideal for dachshunds. If your dog is recovering from IVDD or surgery, follow your vet's advice on bedding during recovery.
My dachshund loves to burrow. Will they like it?
The raised sides are made for tucking in against. Add a light blanket on top and you've got the perfect den.
Is it suitable for puppies?
Yes. It's machine washable for the inevitable accidents. As with any bed, supervise puppies who like to chew.
Can it go in a crate?
It's 80 cm across, so it suits larger crates or pens. For smaller crates, a flat mat usually fits better.
